Emily is this awesome teenager that we know and is also Josh’s girlfriend! She asked us to help her with a school project…by taking some pictures. Yep, we can do that! Her theme was “A Step into the Future”, which totally says shoes and dancing to us!

An Anniversary

While unloading my phone today, I thought I’d share some Instagrams of a fun night with my husband. May 1 is a special day to us; it is the day Adam officially asked me to be his girlfriend, and then 3 years later to be his wife. This year marks the 10th anniversary of when he proposed, so we decided to go back to the restaurant in the Galt House hotel (now called Rivue), where it all happened.

For those who don’t know, this restaurant has two revolving floors that overlook the Ohio River. The view is great, and 10 years ago God even gave us a rainbow to mark the occasion. Forgive the poor quality of the pictures; they were taken with the phone camera.

Deloof/Barnett Family

If you’ve ever seen our blog, our website, or even our Facebook page then you’ve seen Joy & Drew. They’re kind of a favorite of ours…and we’re lucky enough to call them friends. :) We photographed their engagement session and their wedding. This past Fall Joy’s mama Betty (who’s also a dear friend and gives us hats!) asked us if we’d take some updated pictures of herself, her husband Don, and of course, Joy & Drew. Awesome people and pretty lighting in a park? Yes, please! And if that wasn’t enough, Betty & Don had us over to their new house for dinner afterwards! That’s what I call a good day. But, back to the pictures…the reason you stopped by. :)

We took Drew & Joy aside for some “couple” shots. These are some of my favorites from the day.

Of course we had to grab some of Betty & Don, including some at their new house which Betty has decorated beautifully! Wish she’d share some of that talent with me!

Matt: Senior Year

Last November we photographed Matt’s senior pictures after months of planning. He’s our favorite kind of person, someone who knows who they are and has character. Matt has many different interests. He plays the bass, is into Steampunk, and was just honored with becoming an Eagle Scout! We started off at Knob Creek Gun Range where Matt showed off his AK-47.

From there we headed to Iroquois Park for some pictures in his Boy Scout uniform and then to a graffiti wall for some pictures with his bass.

To finish up we went downtown to the Palace Theater where Matt showed off his Steampunk side. We love his top hat!

Remember when we mentioned he just became an Eagle Scout? Well, we had the honor of documenting that as well. :)

Matt, we’re so glad we got to know you better through this, and wish you all the best in your future!!

Mckinze: Senior Year

Mckinze is one of our favorite people. She’s an extremely talented actress and singer, she teaches us new vocabulary (I now use “janky” on a regular basis), and is just a ton of fun to be around. We had the best time walking up and down Bardstown Road with her and her awesome mom, Amy, for her senior session. We need to go back for that shopping trip soon, ladies! On to Mckinze and her beauty…

I mean, really, how do we not include that?

Mckinze, you’re fantastic. We had such a great time with you, and seriously, we need to go back and shop! We can’t wait to see where God leads you in your life.
